2010 Winter State Games

Syracuse University

February 5-7, 2010

I am happy to announce that Special Olympics Long Island Region has been allotted a total of 44 Athletes for Winter State Games this year.  This will allow us to bring 4 Skiers, 2 Snowshoers, and 38 Floor Hockey Team Athletes.

As you know we will not be able to bring Skill Athletes to Winter Games, although this is not ideal, we have had a Skill competition at our Lawrence Floor Hockey Tournament and we will also be bringing all of our Skill Athletes to Javits.

If anyone has questions about our allotments please call me in the office at 631 254 1465 X13 or email your questions to creisig@nyso.org.

 Hofstra University

Hofstra Bball

 Basketball Clinic

February 28, 2010

11:30am - 12:15pm

Hofstra University's Women's Basketball team will be offering a Clinic before their game that starts at 2pm. The clinic will run for 45 minutes and our Athletes are once again welcome to stay for the game and possibly have the opportunity to sit on the bench during the Game.

Hofstra University has been extremely gracious with us so please do your best to make it. All of our Athletes are invited to the clinic and the game. Lets make it a big showing of support for Hofstra Women's Basketball for all that they have done for us.

If you interested in attending please contact me in the office at 631 254 1465 X 13 or through email at creisig@nyso.org

 Online File Folder

computer

We have set up an online file folder system where we will save all important Special Olympics documents.

*This is not an online registration system. It is simply a place to store saved files. When you locate the registration form that you need, you can print the form and complete it... or save the form on your computer so that you can type the information. It still needs to be emailed, faxed or mailed to the long island office.

*If you are having trouble viewing these documents, you may need to adjust the settings on your computer to allow it to download information from the website.

The folder will include:

  • Event Registration Forms
  • Training Roster Forms
  • Demand Case Survey Forms
  • Medical & Consent Form

We will also periodically add other important forms and documents as they are needed. In order to access these files you need to find the quick link to the left and then enter the user name and password (Listed Below). You could also visit the website directly at:
